Xpression is the UK’s first ‘On forecast’ freestyle tour aimed at getting the UK’s top freestylers to the best freestyle locations on the best forecast.  
 
“Here in the UK we have trouble in running successful events because we rely on low pressure weather systems rather than consistent thermal winds…therefore sometimes when an event is organised the wind doesn’t show up….this is very frustrating, particularly when riders have travelled a long way! This has lead to a lack of UK freestyle events which has been very frustrating, because it means we don’t have the opportunity to push the levels up!”
 
The Xpression concept is simple….we have a list of the top sailors who we put on RED ALERT if we have a good weekend forecast anywhere in the UK.  If the forecast is still looking good on the Friday, we send out the message and everyone turns up for some top quality freestyle and competition.

The 1st Xpression was run over the stormy weekend of 17th and 18th January 2009 in Portland harbour, Weymouth with a strong turnout of enthusiastic freestylers from all over the UK-several travelling over 250 miles to take part on the epic weekend forecast!   Careful selection of the best spot in the week leading up Xpression paid off with hours of sailing for everyone in perfect conditions as well as a competition result in the bag!
