Barry and Phil started off their European tour by visiting the ancient city of Athens and the importer for Greece, Sports Commerce which is run by Vaggellis Boufis and his lovely assistant Iliana. The visit started off by making a product presentation, in particular presenting the new aluminum, carbon booms and some accessories. Later in the evening they had a small gathering with some of the local windsurfers and friends. Most of the locals were elated to be able to meet Barry and Phil in person and talk story about the windsurfing conditions and life's experiences in Greece. The group ended up having a late dinner (Greek Style), which finished after midnight.

The next day they had a rigging session at the local shop and were joined by Chris Frey from the famous Greek windsurfing family (Toni Frey's Brother). Phil had offered to go sailing with Chris later in the day but of course it was January and there was no chance for the conditions to be good enough, besides we woke up to 5 degree's in the morning and glassy conditions. Well, surprise, surprise at around 2pm the South wind started to pickup and the temperature rose enough for Phil to get lured out on the water. Rigging 11m TR-1's Chris and Phil headed out on the water for a perfect Formula session in 8-13 knots. Chris later commented that it was such a gift to get these conditions in January after the past few weeks has been snowing in this particular area of Europe. Phil was also delighted to get out on the water for a few hours and spend some valuable time with one of the most serious local racers.

Just before Barry and Phil's flight they had a chance to visit the Acropolis in the center of Athens. Later in the evening Barry and Phil disappeared into the Sunset on their private Jet headed to Poland for their next stop.
