2005 TR-1
Racing/Slalom
The TR-1 is refined and highly developed for racing, slalom, and speedsailing. Designed and perfected by Barry Spanier, Phil McGain, and Kevin Pritchard at MauiSails R&D in Hawaii.
Already winning races all over the planet, this nine-batten configuration stabilizes the foil for added speed and makes it more stable overall. The added stability makes handling easier. Composite tube/rod battens with tapers tuned to cam pressure, lock rotation inside a slightly wider sleeve.
The TR-1 is truly new for 2005. It's a race sail you can depend on for the widest range of performance, with refined handling fit for a World Champion. We expect the combined rig to become known as the finest equipment for competitive racing.
