2007 Loco
Freestyle
If you’re a little crazy then you probably already understand Loco. Barry and Phil have collaborated to design a unique and light feeling freestyle sail based on feedback from Taty Frans.
Taty is at the forefront of most freestyle moves invented today and his relentless demands for uncompromised shape, balance of control and power with cool graphics is the driving force behind launching the Loco.
With a unique graphic look and a higher clew/foot combination the Loco delivers precision handling while still retaining plenty of power and locked forward shape. Taty also demanded a shorter boom than the wave sails so we have extended the luff length and created an easy maneuvering sail with powerful acceleration.
The Loco has a perfectly even twist for initiating and recovering from aerial style maneuvers that demand a feather light transition and instant control. To optimize the mast choices, we cross tested between RDM and Standard diameter MauiSails masts, with the goal of getting the performance characteristics as similar as possible with both mast types. We recommend the SRS Wave 100 RDM and SRS Carbon 75.
The Loco works so good you can go crazy on it.
