Over the long weekend of June 2 - 6 in the picturesque windsurfing mecca of Torbole on Lake Garda, in Northern Italy, the MauiSails range of performance windsurfing kit was in strong evidence as consumers from all across Europe descended on the beach to test and compare the best of the best in the windsurfing market.

Classic Ora winds picked up daily on cue each afternoon and provided ample conditions for test riding all the new sails, masts, carbon and aluminum MauiSails kit. With over 20 MauiSails rigs assembled, surf enthusiasts were provided all types of sails and sail sizes to test. At times, all rigs were on the water from Rebel 3.0 in the hands of many active Kids who attended Surfestival to the talented Taty Frans who entered the Slalom competition with the super fast TR-2 9.0m matched up with SRS Race 100 mast and new MauiSails Race 230 Carbon Boom.

Surfestival organizers also invited Taty Frans and International Sales Manager Rick Whidden to present MauiSails from the event stage which afforded the opportunity to communicate the MauiSails story and the Legend wave sail range. Many people attending Surfestival remember that MauiSails started in 1979 on Maui and were excited to see the return of the brand widely recognized as the first company to offer high performance windsurfing sails.

So impressed at the consumer response to our presentation; our Italy distribution partner, White Reef is already planning a larger and more active Surfestival for MauiSails next year. Hope to see you there!
